[Description]
In the Joseon Dynasty, traditional Ham (storage chests) were typically made of silk and used to store precious items such as jokduri (ceremonial headpieces). Inspired by these historical chests, the SUIN Neunghwaji Memorial Box is designed for modern use, featuring Neunghwaji decorated in Obangsaek (the five traditional Korean colors) to preserve the beauty of Korean heritage. This box can be used to store valuables, but it also holds a deeper significance in today’s world, where many people share their lives with pets. Designed with the contemporary era in mind, it allows the remains of a beloved pet—transformed into stones or keepsakes—to be respectfully wrapped in traditional Korean fabric (bojagi) and stored as a lasting tribute. This piece serves as a heartfelt way to honor and cherish precious memories forever.
